Solution to Circuits

This circuit diagram has a mess of resistors laid out to spell "OHMS ASCII." At the bottom, there's a series of R_XY, indicating the equivalent resistance between the labeled nodes in the circuit. If you calculate the equivalent resistance and convert that value to an ASCII letter, they spell ELECTRIC.

The shortcut for this puzzle involves noticing that the first and third letter are the same, and the fourth and eighth letters are the same. These happen to be very easy resistance values to calculate. From there, you have E?EC???C - and the only English word that fits that pattern is ELECTRIC.
